Despite what appeared to be difficulties in finding their battle rhythm, the young women of PSA U14 managed to pull it together to win all four games in their flight including an outstanding three shutouts—earning them the championship and highest points for Flight 1 Girls Olders (U14 through U19). Coach Eddie had hoped the competition would be tough to help ready the team for National Cup. “The United FC team presented challenges that we will see in National Cup. Physical play, speed and aggressiveness are three aspects of the game that we will face during the first weekend of play.” Coach Eddie named Darian Podmajersky the MVP for the tournament. Darian made some great goals and plays on goal. She played well as PSA’s first line of defense too. Darian seemed to be in the right spot at the right time, making good on many opportunities that came her way. She definitely had an Impact on the game.
